A captivating novel that made my cold January days less mundane. I found the character descriptions to be very original and specific to the authors voice. The landscapes: hills covered in snow, the view of the cottages from the ‘Plateu’, the dense forest and the changing of its trees through the seasons. Such beautiful depictions of the protagonist Janina’s daily life, composed by her desires and pains. She is a justice seeker and an astrology enthusiast, giving cosmic interpretations to all which unravels throughout the story.
